Today was the NYC Marathon and I spent a chunk of my day at work watching the runners whiz through Central Park for the last leg of the race. My co-worker said to me, "I don't understand what all these spectators find so appealing about the marathon...you're just watching people run. Where's the fun in that?"
Here's what I say to that: If you've ever experienced the Boston Marathon, aka Marathon Monday, you'd understand.
